Pakistan VS Afghanistn

pakistan won against afghanistan

Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to bat first. It looked like this decision would not turn out well for Pakistan, with the wickets falling one after the other and the growing excitement of the Afghan players. Pakistan seemed to be in trouble. Fakhar Zaman scored only 2 runs off 4 balls and lost his valuable wicket after being caught at slip by Fazal Haq Farooqui. From the other end, Mujeebur Rahman Shami bowled the best of his career to bowl out Babar Azam for a score of zero. The match had entered a very interesting phase. Pakistan had lost 2 of their most valuable wickets at the score of just 7.  Muhammad Rizwan came in at number four and started his aggressive innings. But after scoring only 21 runs,  Mujeebur Rahman took his wicket. Rizwan took a review but the umpire upheld his decision and thus Pakistan lost their third wicket. Then Agha Salman came to the crease but he too soon fell victim to Rashid Khan's googly. Pakistan had lost 4 wickets for only 62 runs. It was a difficult phase for Pakistan but there was a ray of hope in the form of Imam-ul-Haq at the crease. Imam-ul-Haq scored continuously with great patience. On the other hand, Iftikhar Ahmed was supporting him fully. The pair added 50 runs in 69 balls.  Muhammad Nabi broke this partnership. He took Iftikhar Ahmad's wicket at the score of 30. But on the other side, Imam-ul-Haq continued his excellent batting streak. Imam-ul-Haq scored a half-century. He played 94 balls and scored 61 runs with the help of 2 fours. In the end, this too was a victim of Muhammad Nabi. He managed to get Pakistan out of trouble to a great extent with his excellent batting.  After that, Shadab Khan and Naseem Shah took charge of the Pakistani batting. Shadab Khan scored 39 runs off 50 balls and was run out. Last The incoming batsman was Haris Rauf who was LBW by Rehmat Shah. Naseem Shah remained not out for 18 runs and thus the Pakistani team was all out for 201 runs. Pakistan team for the first time all out in any format against the Afghan team.

The Afghani openers came into the field very confidently to bat but Shaheen Shah Afridi took two wickets in two consecutive balls in his second over to put the Afghan team in trouble early on. He bowled Ibrahim and Rahmat Shah without scoring any runs. On the other hand, Naseem Shah sent the captain Hashmatullah Shaheedi to the pavilion, and Shadab Khan took his best catch. After losing three wickets for just four runs, the Afghani batsmen forgot how to bat. Haris Rauf fell like lightning on the Afghan batsmen. He took 5 wickets by giving away 18 runs in 6.2 overs. The Afghan team was reduced to just 59 runs and lost by a huge margin of 142 runs.  This is the lowest score by any team against Pakistan. Before that, in 1986 New Zealand cricket team was bowled out for 64 runs against Pakistan.
